The method of accuracy improving of formal macro model (full quadratic polynomial) is proposed. The results of comparison the initial that was obtained with the use of Rehtshafner plans, and refined formal macro model with tested function are showed. Also, the optimization of turbine nozzle profile with using the known and the refined formal macro model is conducted.

The paper deals with the parallelisation of 3D turbulent viscous flow computations for multi-stage turbines and compressors. The CFD solver F is considered for this goals. Parallelisation is performed for computer systems with distributed and shared memory. Software implementation uses interprocessor communication, based on socket interface. The Windows Socket API functions are exploited for that. Testing of the developed parallel algorithm shows its high efficiency. Possible lines of further improvement of parallel algorithm are considered.

The problem of increasing the efficiency of the initial thermal scheme that uses low boiling working body is solved. A method of improving the thermal scheme – implementation of the second stage in parallel network installation (summer mode of operation, while maintaining hot water). Freon is selected that best suits the thermodynamic and environmental indicators. The preliminary computational studies have shown that through the use of the second stage electric power plant increases by almost half.

The calculation aerodynamics investigation results of exhaust manifold diffuser of the modern steam turbines with a special injection flow are described. Features of flow at diffuser part, which placed in exhaust manifolds opposite condenser are demonstrated. Research of influence of the basic geometric parameters on losses and a swirling flow in front of the impeller of the adjustable centrifugal compressor is performed. Parametrical models of the inlet duct and axial inlet guide vane (IGV) with rotary blades are developed. Numerical research was carried out in the software system ANSYS CFX with using the methods of the theory of design of experiments (DOE). An optimization of the inlet guide vanes with inlet duct where complex criterion function was minimization of total losses in IGV and the inlet duct at defined angles average integral swirl flow at the inlet of the impeller is solved.

The numerical modeling of a film cooling over a flat plate was studied where a coolant supplies into a single row of cylindrical holes arranged in spherical dimples. Based on the experimental data, the adaptation of k–ε turbulence model was made to simulate such flows. The commercial software package ANSYS CFX 14 was employed in all numerical calculations.
