The features of constructions of the last stage blades of steam turbines of high powere and basic results of scientific researches, allowing to choose the rational forms of elements of blades from the point of view of aerodynamics and durability are considered. The basic ways of further perfection of constructions are set.

The Low-Reynolds turbulence model with the kinetic energy production limiter is considered. The laminar-turbulent transition method is implemented in the solver FlowER-Y on the base of the k– SST model. Calculation results were compared with experimental data for gas flow in compressor blade cascade. It is shown that the Low-Reynolds modification of the k– SST model allows an approximate simulation of some effects in a transitional flow.

The influence of the turbulence model on the results of CFD calculation of turbine grid at different angles of attack was analyzed. The plots of dependence of the intermittency and BetaStar coefficient on the angle of inflow in turbine grid 1MMK are built. A method which specifies coefficients of the model of turbulence using the numerical experiment planning is developed.

In this paper we consider the direct problem of axially symmetric flow of ideal gas in an annular axial-radial passage. Distributions of the mass flow rate of working fluid, total pressure, total specific volume, and tangential component of flow velocity over an inlet or outlet cross-section of the passage are taken as the initial data. The problem consists of independent flow calculation problems for any single cross-section of the passage. These independent problems can be solved both successively, one after another, and simultaneously.

The analysis of heat transfer in cooling channels in case of significant change of gas temperature was developed. It was noted that change of gas temperature affects on intensity of heat transfer along the channel. It was proposed improved equation for heat transfer coefficient that is valid for both air and water vapor.

It is proposed to install the new turbine under the conditions of consumption decreasing of steam with industrial parameters. This new turbine will operate at the steam of 8–10 ata, which allows the increase of electrical power generating at HPP.

Flow in a spiral chamber of a centrifugal turbomachine is investigated on the basis of the dynamics equations of variable mass continuum. The analytical representation of the parameters averaged over the cross-section area is obtained. The analytical expression for finding the cross-section in which the stream splitting take place is also obtained. The derived formulas establish dependences of the influence of the operating conditions and the conditions on the inlet and outlet of the flow on the flow characteristics. The applicability of 1D model to calculate the parameters of three-dimensional flow is discussed. A comparison of the results of the 1D model and 3D calculation by FLUENT-6 is performed. It is shown that the results of 1D calculations give qualitatively the same flow parameters behavior as the results of 3D simulation.
